The Michigan Materials Marketplace
The Materials Marketplace is an award-winning regional and national platform managed by the US Business Council for Sustainable Development that connects businesses to develop and scale new reuse and recycling market opportunities. Through their platform, traditional and non-traditional industrial waste streams are matched with new product and revenue opportunities. In addition to diverting waste from landfills, these recovery activities generate significant cost savings, energy savings, and create new jobs and business opportunities. This is an online marketplace that functions similarly to a Facebook Marketplace, with the distinction that it is primarily for Business to Business sales rather than direct to consumer. Each state has its own page, and the Michigan Materials Marketplace has over 50 businesses currently active, including 20 in SE MI, 14 in West MI, 12 in Central MI, and 11 in Northern MI.
