Registration is now open for the "Re-Imagining the Built Environment" Forum. This event brings together a broad stakeholder network of thinkers and doers to discuss practical and promising policies and practices that can help us re-imagine our built environment. The event includes panel presentations from leaders in the material recycling, construction, and reuse industries; with discussions addressing the policy and practice of structural abandonment and how structural materials may be re-used and thereby diverted from landfills.
The event takes place on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 8:00am until approximately 1:00pm, beginning with a keynote address from Dr. Julian Allwood, author of Sustainable Materials: With both eyes open, and Professor of Engineering and the Environment at the University of Cambridge, UK. Wrapping up the day will be a guided group discussion of next steps and future opportunities in the structural built environment.
Registration for this event is $20, and includes a continental breakfast and a free parking pass in the Kellogg Center parking structure; students may register for free by contacting MSU CCED at firstname.lastname@example.org or 517-353-9555.
